Our mission at the Ontario Science Centre is "To delight, inform and challenge visitors through engaging and thought-provoking experiences in science and technology." To turn the mission into reality, we've completed a $47.5 million transformation of the Science Centre. Forty years after it was established as one of the world’s first interactive science museums, the Ontario Science Centre is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Created as a Centennial project – our official name is the “Centennial Centre of Science and Technology” – the Ontario Science Centre was a pioneer in creating experiences that made science accessible. Since its opening September 26, 1969, the Science Centre has attracted over 40 million visitors from around the world and is one of Canada’s most visited attractions
New this year - The Squamates have invaded Toronto and have amassed themselves at the Ontario Science Centre as part of the engaging Lizards & Snakes: Alive! Exhibition. Featuring over 56 live lizards and snakes from five continents, the exhibition displays the diversity of Squamates—the group that consists of legged and legless lizards, including snakes.
